It is Christmas in July, again!

I'm back for another day of the Masterpiece Quilting's
Christmas Collection Book blog hop!

Today I will share a medium sized stacking pop up
with the Jingle Bells Wall Hanging design on it.

This time I used a Medium Stacking Pop-Up using spring FQG123.
It finishes out at 8" in diameter and 8" tall.

To make this pop up, start out cutting the pieces needed for the inside and outside of the pop up according to the FQG122 Stacking Pop Up Pattern.  Fuse the stabilizer on... I like SF101 ShapeFlex.

Then cut out all the applique pieces.
I didn't change anything for the bells and the bow.
But, I did change the size of the swag.
I stretched it out to 13.25 for a full swag.  I needed 1 of those.
I cut a second swag exactly the same (I used the first one as a pattern)
and cut it in half.

Here is the outside piece of the pop up with the swags fused on.

I centered the full swag and lined up the half swags on either end.
You will notice I left a large area above the swags empty.  This is because the top 1.5" needs to be left empty so the top edge can be rolled twice to finish the pop up.

I laid all the pieces out before I fused the swag to make sure there would be enough room below the swags for the bells.  Make sure the last 1/2" minimum is empty at the bottom edge too.

Then I fused the rest of the applique pieces down and top stitched them.

For the appliques, I used Barely There Fusible Adhesive.  It is a medium heat, quick to fuse product that I really like.  It stays soft and flexible even if you layer many pieces.

I used a plain old straight stitch on this pop because I made it while on an rv trip and when I opened my sewing machine I only had one presser foot!  Only my 1/4".  Oops!
So, there was no zigging or zagging for me!

I followed the FQG122 Stacking Pop-Up pattern exactly to finished the pop up.  I think it turned out very cute!

Thanks for stopping by!
Jo
