At The Fat Quarter Gypsy, we take care to provide our customers high quality services personalized for their unique needs. We accept quilts for edge-to-edge quilting on my APQS with Intelliquiter. Important Things to Know:
Backing and Batting MUST BE 8" longer and wider than the quilt top!!! I need extra fabric so I can load it onto the machine.
Make sure you top and backing are square and pressed.
If piecing the backing, again, make sure it is even and square.
Trim all threads, points of fabric, seams, etc. I will not do this. I will quilt it the way it arrives.
DO NOT baste layers together. I will have to take them apart to load it on the machine.
I will not accept inexpensive batting, it is often uneven and you won't be happy with the result. You can bring your own batting, or I can supply. I have many options for you to choose from.
Please mark the top of the quilt AND the top of the backing! I would hate to quilt it upside-down.
If I have to fix any of the above issues, there may be a minimum charge of $15 or $25/hour.
